SUMMARY:Atlanta Photographers Meetup
DESCRIPTION:Atlanta Photographers Coffee Meetup\nIf you’re a working professional photographer in Atlanta\, or aspire to be one please join us for the Atlanta Photographers Coffee Meetup. This is a casual networking event co-presented by the Atlanta School of Photography. Drink some coffee or tea\, talk shop\, and discuss whatever else you’d like. \nThe End (of the year) Is Near!\nThe end is upon us! Join us to discuss how to wrap up the year on strong stable financial footing. We’ll discuss budgets\, planning for the year ahead\, and how to close out business with a win. \nStop\, Collaborate\, and Listen\nMeet other photographers\, find ways to collaborate\, and get to know each other better. Discuss photography issues in Atlanta and beyond \nWe talk about emerging trends\, trade information on marketing and promotion\, business admin and taxes\, location scouting\, and a lot more. \nAtlanta Photographers Are Better Together\nIt’s my strong belief that we’re better together. What does that mean? For me it means that we can learn from each other\, support each other\, and help move the local photography industry forward for the benefit of all Atlanta photographers. \nRegular Networking Meetings\nI host these events quarterly because they give us a chance to meet each other\, find ways to collaborate\, and help each other solve problems. \nIf this sounds interesting please join us! That said\, if you can’t make this one\, please sign up for alerts and watch for the next one. \nAdditionally\, please reach out to suggest dates or locations that work better for you for our next coffee meetup. \nPlus\, this is something I’m interested in sharing ownership of. Therefore\, if you want to organize a meetup\, for coffee\, a photography session\, or anything else let me know. I’m happy to share the info and promote it. \nFees\nI wish these meetups could be free. However\, whenever it is free tickets (which are limited by the venue) end up being taken by people who don’t show up. In fact\, they have registered for 5 or more tickets seemingly with no intention of attending. \nTherefore\, I’ve added a ticket fee in order to get accurate counts for the hosting venue and to ensure availability for those who are actually going to attend. Thank you for understanding! \nVenue Ideas?\nLet me know if you have venue ideas. Finding coffee shops or other locations that can accomidate a group that can be as small as 3 of us or as large as 20 isn’t easy. If you’ve got a studio and want to host that would be great but even if you’ve just got some other ideas of where we can meet I’d love to hear them. \nAtlanta Photographers\nBack in Pittsburgh I created a website and directory of photographers that was publicly accessible. This allowed everyone to have a leg up on predatory websites like Thumbtack or Yelp which often show up in the top results. I’d love to collaborate with others who might be interested in doing this same thing here in Atlanta. \nYour Host\nMy name is Don Orkoskey and I’m the owner of WDO Photography. I photograph corporate and nonprofit events\, offer headshots\, and teach photography. I’m a bit new to Atlanta and I can’t wait to meet you all on the 19th! \nAtlanta School of Photography\nFrom beginners to working professionals the Atlanta School of Photography offers classes\, workshops\, and community to photographers in Atlanta and is a proud co-sponsor of these monthly networking events.
